James F. Russell is a circuit court judge for the Thirtieth Circuit Court Division 2 in Tennessee. He has served in this position since 1998 and was re-elected in 2006 and 2014. His current term ends in 2022.[1][2][3][4]

General: He defeated Kevin E. Reed and Robert A. Wampler in the general election on August 7, 2014, receiving 50.9 percent of the vote.

Education
Russell received his undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in 1967 and his J.D. from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1970.[1]
Career
Russell worked as an attorney in private practice from 1968 until 1997. He then joined the Thirtieth Circuit Court.[1]
