Jerome Niedermeier is a recalled federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Vermont. He was appointed to a renewable eight-year as a federal magistrate judge on April 23, 1982. He was the District of Vermont's first full-time magistrate judge.[1]
Judge Niedermeier was re-appointed to subsequent renewable eight-year terms as a federal magistrate judge in 1990, 1998 and 2006. He retired from the District of Vermont in 2009. On March 15, 2010, he was recalled to serve as a magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.[2]
Education
Niedermeier earned his B.A., graduating magna cum laude from Boston College in 1967 and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1972.[1]
