Biography
Towns earned his B.A. in political science from LeMoyne-Owen College. He later received his M.S. in Operational Management from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. Towns has worked as a college instructor, entrepreneur, and business owner.

Towns won re-election to the 84th District seat in 2010. He defeated Mitzi Turnage in the August 5 primary.[9] He faced no opposition in the general election on November 2, 2010.[10]
