John Powers Crowley (1936-present) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Crowley was nominated by President Gerald Ford on May 18, 1976, to a seat vacated by Richard Austin; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 16, 1976, and received commission that same day. He served the Northern District of Illinois until his retirement on June 30, 1981.[1] Crowley was succeeded in this position by William Hart.
