John T. Alexander is a judge of the 43rd Circuit Court in Kentucky. He was appointed by Democratic Governor Steve Beshear on October 29, 2015, and took office on December 2. He succeeded Judge Phillip R. Patton.[1] Alexander ran for election to his seat in 2016.[2] The general election took place on November 8, 2016.

Biography

Alexander earned a B.A. from Transylvania University, going on to receive his J.D. from the University of Kentucky. He was admitted to the bar in 1994.[3] Alexander was previously a judge on the 43rd District Court.[4]

Kentucky held nonpartisan elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. A primary election took place on May 17, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was January 26, 2016.[5] Incumbent John T. Alexander ran unopposed in the Kentucky 43rd Circuit Court general election.[2]
