John Thompson Nixon (1820-1889) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
He was nominated by President Ulysses Grant on April 28, 1870. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 28, 1870, and received commission on April 28, 1870.[1] He served until his death on September 28, 1889. Nixon was succeeded in this position by Edward Green.
