Biography

Jon Hardister was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. He graduated from Grimsley High School. Hardister received an undergraduate degree in political science from Greensboro College. His career experience includes working in marketing.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 28, 2014. Incumbent Jon Hardister was unopposed in the Republican primary, while Scott Jones was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Paul Meinhart ran as a Libertarian candidate. Hardister defeated Jones and Meinhart in the general election.[10][11][12][13]
