Julie Allyn is a judge for Position 62 of the Minnesota Fourth Judicial District. She assumed office in 2020. Her current term ends on January 1, 2029.

Allyn ran for re-election for the Position 62 judge of the Minnesota Fourth Judicial District. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Allyn was appointed to the court on October 2, 2020, by Gov. Tim Walz (D) to replace Ronald Abrams.[1]

Education

Allyn earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.[1]

Career

Prior to her appointment to the Fourth Judicial District, Allyn served as an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney and an Assistant Attorney General at the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office. Allyn has also worked as a trial lawyer and an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School.[1]
