Kim Petersen is a judge on the New York City Criminal Court of Queens County, New York. She was appointed to the court by Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) in December 2016.[1][2]

Biography

Petersen graduated from Queens College and earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.[2]

Before her appointment in 2016, Petersen served as criminal court bureau chief for the Richmond County district attorney's office. She was principal court attorney to the Hon. James P. Griffin in Queens County for six years. She was also the attorney for the Departmental Disciplinary Committee, First Department, for two years.[1][2]
