Margaret Catharine Rodgers is a federal judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. She joined the court in 2003 after being nominated by President George W. Bush. Rodgers was chief judge of the court from 2011 to 2018.
Early life and education
Born in Pensacola, Florida, Rodgers graduated from the University of West Florida with her bachelor's degree in 1989 and from the California Western School of Law with her J.D. in 1992.[1]

Rodgers was nominated by President George W. Bush on July 14, 2003, to a seat on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida vacated by Lacey Collier. The American Bar Association rated Rodgers Majority Well Qualified, Minority Qualified for the nomination. Hearings on Rodgers' nomination were held before the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 17, 2003, and her nomination was reported by U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) on October 2, 2003. Rodgers was confirmed on a recorded 82-0 vote of the U.S. Senate on October 20, 2003, and she received her commission on November 21, 2003. Rodgers served as the district court's chief judge from 2011 to 2018.[1][2][3]
