Maria Quinones-Sanchez

Maria Quinones-Sanchez (Democratic Party) was a member of the Philadelphia City Council in Pennsylvania, representing District 7. Quinones-Sanchez assumed office in 2008. Quinones-Sanchez left office on September 6, 2022.

Quinones-Sanchez (Democratic Party) ran for election for Mayor of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. Quinones-Sanchez did not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on May 16, 2023.

Biography

Quinones-Sanchez is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her professional experience includes serving as the regional director for the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration (PRFAA), executive director of ASPIRA, a Latino educational institution, and creating the first bilingual charter school in the state, the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community Charter School. She is a founding member of the Pennsylvania Statewide Latino Coalition.^[1]
