Biography

Education

Garcia earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and criminology from Ball State University in 1995. He earned a law degree from the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis in 1999.[1]

Professional career

Garcia's career experience includes working as an attorney, as a partner and managing member with law firm of Brattain & Minnix (later known as Brattain Minnix Garcia), and as a registered civil mediator.[1]

Judicial career

Southern District of Indiana

Mario Garcia joined the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana as a federal magistrate judge on April 5, 2021. Garcia was appointed to a new magistrate judgeship created for the court by the Judicial Conference of the United States.[1]
