Naipaul Seegolam was a 2012 independent candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 10th Congressional District of Florida. He was defeated by Daniel Webster on November 6, 2012.[1]
Biography
Seegolam was born in Guyana on September 17,1961.[2]
He moved to Bronx, New York with his family from South America in 1971. Later, Seegolam and his family moved to Mooresville, Indiana.[2]
Elections
2012
Seegolam ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Florida's 10th District. Seegolam sought the nomination on the Independent ticket. Candidates wishing to run were required to file by the signature filing deadline of June 8, 2012. The primary elections were held on August 14, 2012. He was defeated by Daniel Webster on November 6, 2012.[3]
