Ballotpedia:Trial Courts

The Oregon circuit courts are trial courts of general jurisdiction in Oregon. Each of Oregon's 36 counties has a circuit court, and there are 137 judges between the 27 judicial districts.[1][2][3]

Judicial Districts

Until 1998, Oregon had district courts, which had limited jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases. On January 15, 1998, the district courts were merged into Oregon's 36 circuit courts within the state's 27 judicial districts.[4]
