Education
Phillip R. Rumsey is a former justice of the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department in New York. Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) appointed Rumsey, effective May 26, 2017.[1][2]
Rumsey previously served as a justice for the Cortland County Supreme Court in the 6th Judicial District of New York. He was elected to this position in 1993 and took office in early 1994. He was re-elected in 2007.[1][3] Rumsey also served as a justice of the Tompkins County Supreme Court.[4]
Education
Rumsey received his B.A. degree from Hamilton College in 1971 and his J.D. degree from the Syracuse University School of Law in 1975.[1]
