Scott Elgin Reed (1921-1994) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Reed was nominated to the Eastern District of Kentucky by President Jimmy Carter on August 28, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629; he was confirmed by the Senate on October 31, 1979, and received commission on November 2, 1979. He assumed senior status on August 1, 1988. He served the Eastern District of Kentucky until his death on February 17, 1994.[1] Reed was succeeded in this position by Joseph Hood.
