Sherrill Halbert (1901-1991) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.

Halbert was nominated to the Northern District of California by President Dwight Eisenhower on August 19, 1954, to a seat vacated by Dal Millington Lemmon; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 20, 1954, and received his commission on August 26, 1954. He served the Northern District of California until he was assigned to the Eastern District of California on September 18, 1966. He assumed senior status on September 30, 1969. He served the Eastern District of California until his death on May 31, 1991. Halbert was succeeded in this position by Philip Wilkins.

Halbert was nominated to the Northern District of California by President Dwight Eisenhower on August 19, 1954, to a seat vacated by Dal Millington Lemmon; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 20, 1954, and received his commission on August 26, 1954.[1] He served the Northern District of California until he was assigned to the Eastern District of California on September 18, 1966. He assumed senior status on September 30, 1969. He served the Eastern District of California until his death on May 31, 1991. Halbert was succeeded in this position by Philip Wilkins.
