Stephan Vidmar is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. He was appointed to this position on December 27, 2011, and his current term expires on December 26, 2027.[1]
Education
Vidmar received his B.S. degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy in 1974. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.[2]
Military service
After graduating from the Military Academy, Vidmar served as an Army officer for five years.[2]
Career
Vidmar spent his legal career in private practice, first as an associate with Miller Stratvert, PA. At the time of his federal appointment, Vidmar was the President and Managing Director of Miller Stratvert.[2]
Vidmar was also a lecturer and presenter on litigation and bad faith law at continuing legal education seminars.[2]
