Education

Todd A. Geer was an associate district judge and district judge for District 1B of Iowa. He was first appointed as an associate in 1995 and served in that role for a year until his appointment as a district judge in 1996. He retired from the bench on October 15, 2015.

Geer last won retention election to the court on November 2, 2010, and his term was not set to expire until January 1, 2017. Linda Fangman was appointed to fill the vacancy created by Geer's retirement.[1][2][3]

Biography

Geer received his undergraduate degree from Drake University and his law degree from the University of Iowa. Prior to joining the court, he worked as a private practice lawyer with a firm in Grundy Center and as an assistant Grundy County attorney.[3]
