William F. Riley (1884-1956) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.

He was nominated by President Harry Truman on November 29, 1950 to replace Carroll Switzer.[1] He was confirmed by the Senate on December 14th, and received commission on December 27th. He served until his death on December 29, 1956. Riley was succeeded in this position by Edwin Hicklin.
