William Martini is a federal judge on senior status for the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He joined the court in 2002 after being nominated by President George W. Bush. Martini assumed senior status on February 10, 2015.[1]

Education

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Martini graduated from Villanova University with his bachelor's degree in 1968 and earned his J.D. from the Rutgers University Law School in 1972.[1]

Martini was nominated to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey by President George W. Bush on January 23, 2002, to a seat vacated by John Lifland. Martini was confirmed by the Senate on November 14, 2002, on a majority vote and received commission on November 19, 2002.[2]
