William Rossell was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He was nominated by President John Quincy Adams on December 13, 1826. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 19, 1826, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on June 20, 1840. Rossell was succeeded in this position by Mahlon Dickerson.
