Thylamys e род опосуми от семейство Опосумови (Didelphidae). Женските нямат кожна торбичка на корема. Зърната им са подредени в две симетрични редици на корема[1]. Всички видове от рода без Thylamys macrurus натрупват подкожни мазнини в опашките си[2].
