The “Screenlife” movie has become a bona fide subgenre here in the horror world, with films including Searching, Missing, and Unfriended paving the way for other movies that uniquely play out their stories entirely on computer screens. Timur Bekmambetov is the producer of all of the above, and he’s launched a new initiative to foster new talents in the screenlife space.

Deadline reports this week that Bekmambetov has created the Black List-style “Screenlifer” platform, which will “identify, support, and promote screenlife content from emerging filmmakers, and give it exposure to both audiences and industry professionals.”

“Projects that meet the platform’s standards will receive a Black List-style mark of distinction, signifying their alumni status, which Bekmambetov believes will enhance their industry credibility,” Deadline adds. “The best concepts will be published on the project’s website.”

One of the first projects that’s been given the Screenlife seal of approval is a film titled Howdy, Neighbor!, and you can check out a first look image from the upcoming movie above.

Deadline details the Allisyn Snyder-directed project, “the film stars Matthew Scott Montgomery alongside Debby Ryan (JessieThe Resort), as former child star and currently struggling actor Benjamin. As he is preparing for the relaunch of the TV show that once made him famous, a mysterious new neighbor Chase (Grant Jordan) moves in across the hall.”
