The Appleseed Cast are one of the most influential American rock bands to help pioneer the emo movement of the late 90s and one of our ultimate favourites. Formed in 1996, the bands predominantly guitar-based music has evolved from an early emo sound with an ethereal, yet punk sensibility, sharing context with such acts as Mineral andSunny Day Real Estate, to a unique post-rock meets indie sound hinging on inventive, intricate drumming, sometimes subtle guitar arpeggios, and crowd-loving vocals, peaking with orchestrated cacophonies of instrumentation and a vast range of effects. To celebrate their Record Store Day re-issue of 2006’s critically acclaimed LP Peregrine – The Appleseed Cast welcome Listener, Kurt Travis (Dance Gavin Dance) and Atlas: Empire to join them on this tour.
