Ex-First Lady Dies at 75

Ailing Nanuli Shevardnadze-Tsagareishvili, wife of Georgia?s ex-President Eduard Shevardnadze, died on October 20 in Tbilisi at the age of 75. A heart attack was listed as the cause of death.
A specialist of the Russian language and a journalist, Nanuli Shevardnadze-Tsagareishvili was a founder of the charity organization Women of Georgia for Peace and Life.
Eduard Shevardnadze left for Munich on October 19 to participate in an the international conference. This is his first foreign visit since Shevardnadze stepped down last November.
