Description

Wild Capuchin monkey (Cebus imitator), on a tree near a river bank in the jungles of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Taken by Storkk.

Note on identification
Per Cebus capucinus Wikipedia page, "until the 21st century the Panamanian white-faced capuchin, Cebus imitator, was considered conspecific with the Colombian white-faced capuchin, as the subspecies C. capucinus imitator." [1]. This image was labelled as Cebus capucinus between the time of its upload (2006-11-08) and 2020-04-01. However, given that this was in Costa Rica, it was clearly a Cebus imitator, now that the taxonomical hierarchy has been updated.
