The best time to visit Dalyan is from April to October when the weather is warm and perfect for outdoor activities. July and August are the hottest months, while spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) offer milder temperatures ideal for exploring the ruins and taking boat trips.

You can reach Dalyan from Dalaman Airport (25km away) by taxi (approximately 30 minutes), private transfer, or shuttle service. Many hotels offer airport pickup services. Public transport options are also available but may require changes and take longer.

Key attractions include the ancient city of Kaunos, Lycian Rock Tombs, İztuzu Beach (Turtle Beach), Mud Baths, and the Dalyan River. Taking a boat trip along the river is one of the best ways to see multiple attractions in one day.

İztuzu Beach is open for swimming from May to October. Parts of the beach may be restricted during the sea turtle nesting season (May-October) to protect the endangered Caretta Caretta turtles. The beach is still accessible for visitors during this time.
