Mongal (DC Extended Universe)

Mongal was a cocky and battle-hungry Warzoon, and a member of the Suicide Squad. She was involved in the Project Starfish mission in Corto Maltese.

Arrival on Earth

Mongal was born on the planet Warworld to the tyrannical Mongul the Elder, a ruthless intergalactic conqueror whose sense of authority and power gave Mongal a serious sense of overconfidence and love for battle. Eventually, Mongul sent her to Earth to conquer it in his name. When she arrived there, Mongal committed several crimes, including war crimes and crimes against humanity, and was incarcerated in the Belle Reve Correctional Center, where she was offered freedom by Amanda Waller in exchange for doing black-ops missions for Task Force X, better known as the Suicide Squad.[1][2]

Mongal's final mission

In 2020, Mongal was sent on a team led by Colonel Rick Flag, with Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Weasel, Javelin, Savant, T.D.K., and Blackguard on the Squad's invasion of Corto Maltese to destroy evidence of the powerful and dangerous Project Starfish. Unbeknownst to the team, however, they were merely meant by Waller to distract the Corto Maltese Army so that a second Squad strike team could invade in stealth.

Burning to death

When the team arrived on Maltese shores, they were immediately ambushed by the Maltese forces, who Blackguard had sold them out to, and the two groups engaged in combat. Mongal used her strength to jump onto the landing gear of a Maltese attack helicopter, with the intent to bring it down. However, her weight sent the copter spinning out of control, killing several Maltese soldiers and Captain Boomerang in the process. The chopper then crashed and exploded, burning Mongal to death.[2]
