Jacob Tremblay‘s profile is rising fast after his turn alongside Brie Larson in the critically acclaimed Room, and up next for him is the dramedy Burn Your Maps, which sees the young actor playing an eight year old boy who, after a family tragedy, decides he’s actually a Mongolian goat herder born in the wrong place. Teaming up with an ambitious Indian filmmaker (Suraj Sharma), the pair set out on a journey east to Mongolia to find their place in the world. We’ve got an exclusive first look image from the pic which you can see at the top of the page right here.
Written and directed by Jordan Roberts based on the short story of the same name by Robyn Joy Leff, Burn Your Maps also stars Vera Farmiga, Marton Csokas, Taylor Geare, Virginia Madsen, and Ramón Rodríguez. From Cinelou Films, international distribution is by Warner Bros, per the 6-film deal between the two companies. Mark Canton, Courtney Solomon, and Patrick Aiello produce. The film wrapped in September and will be hitting theaters in 2016.
