The Bear Tribe is a Barbarian tribe.

The Bear Tribe are the wisest of the Barbarian tribes, and are known to have produced various poultices.[1] Those that hail from the tribe are masters of the mace, and advocate a close grappling form of combat.[2]
Among the Bear Tribe, one who is no longer useful can depart safely in exile, bringing sturdy clothing and armor, but leaving behind their weapons, food, spouses and children.[3]
The Bear Tribe worships a deity called Ursus.[4]
History[]
The Bear and Crane Tribes were wary of each other for many generations.[2] At a point, they broke a hammer to buy peace with the Crane. The hammer was reforged by both together to crash upon a shared foe.[5]
The Bear Tribe was among those who fought against Rakkis in his attempted conquest of the Northern Steppes. Rakkis and his forces were eventually beaten back, but at the cost of many lives, including the tribe's chief.[6]
Not long before the Worldstone's destruction, the Crane and Bear Tribes commingled and shared their powerful techniques with all who would learn.[2]
After the destruction of the Worldstone, a small number of Bear Tribe members departed the Dreadlands to search for a new home.[7] They established the Bear Tribe Refuge in the Fractured Peaks.[8] However, some came to inhabit the Dry Steppes among the Ox and Crane tribes. They fought against the Cannibals.[4]
