Gilberto François "Betico" Croes (25 January 1938 – 26 November 1986) was an Aruban political activist who was a proponent for Aruba's separation from the Netherlands Antilles.[1]

The Aruban Patriotic Party (Papiamento: Partido Patriotico di Aruba, PPA; Arubaanse Patriottische Partij is a political party in Aruba. It was founded in 1949. Prior to Aruba's independence, it was a supporter of a unified, independent Netherlands Antilles. In the 2001 Aruban general election, the party won 9.6% of the popular vote and two out of the 21 seats.
