Application software
An application program (software application, or application, or app for short) is a computer program designed to carry out a specific task other than one relating to the operation of the computer itself, typically to be used by end-users.
See FEBio and Application software
Biomechanics
Biomechanics is the study of the structure, function and motion of the mechanical aspects of biological systems, at any level from whole organisms to organs, cells and cell organelles, using the methods of mechanics.
Boundary value problem
In the study of differential equations, a boundary-value problem is a differential equation subjected to constraints called boundary conditions.
See FEBio and Boundary value problem
Finite element method
The finite element method (FEM) is a popular method for numerically solving differential equations arising in engineering and mathematical modeling.
See FEBio and Finite element method
Hyperelastic material
A hyperelastic or Green elastic materialR.W. Ogden, 1984, Non-Linear Elastic Deformations,, Dover.
See FEBio and Hyperelastic material
Linux
Linux is both an open-source Unix-like kernel and a generic name for a family of open-source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991, by Linus Torvalds.
See FEBio and Linux
List of numerical-analysis software
Listed here are notable end-user computer applications intended for use with numerical or data analysis.
See FEBio and List of numerical-analysis software
MacOS
macOS, originally Mac OS X, previously shortened as OS X, is an operating system developed and marketed by Apple since 2001.
See FEBio and MacOS
Microsoft Windows
Microsoft Windows is a product line of proprietary graphical operating systems developed and marketed by Microsoft.
See FEBio and Microsoft Windows
MIT License
The MIT License is a permissive software license originating at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the late 1980s.
Open-source software
Open-source software (OSS) is computer software that is released under a license in which the copyright holder grants users the rights to use, study, change, and distribute the software and its source code to anyone and for any purpose.
See FEBio and Open-source software
Porous medium
In materials science, a porous medium or a porous material is a material containing pores (voids).
Solid mechanics
Solid mechanics (also known as mechanics of solids) is the branch of continuum mechanics that studies the behavior of solid materials, especially their motion and deformation under the action of forces, temperature changes, phase changes, and other external or internal agents.
