Development of the urinary system
The development of the urinary system begins during prenatal development, and relates to the development of the urogenital system – both the organs of the urinary system and the sex organs of the reproductive system.
See Genitourinary system and Development of the urinary system
Diagnosis
Diagnosis (diagnoses) is the identification of the nature and cause of a certain phenomenon.
See Genitourinary system and Diagnosis
Disease
A disease is a particular abnormal condition that adversely affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism and is not immediately due to any external injury.
See Genitourinary system and Disease
Epispadias
An epispadias is a rare type of malformation in which the urethra ends, in males, in an opening on the upper aspect of the penis, and in females when the urethra develops too far anteriorly.
See Genitourinary system and Epispadias
Genitourinary tract injury
The genitourinary tract, or simply the urinary tract, consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra.
See Genitourinary system and Genitourinary tract injury
Gonad
A gonad, sex gland, or reproductive gland is a mixed gland that produces the gametes and sex hormones of an organism.
See Genitourinary system and Gonad
Hypospadias
Hypospadias is a common malformation in fetal development of the penis in which the urethra does not open from its usual location on the head of the penis.
See Genitourinary system and Hypospadias
Intermediate mesoderm or intermediate mesenchyme is a narrow section of the mesoderm (one of the three primary germ layers) located between the paraxial mesoderm and the lateral plate of the developing embryo.
See Genitourinary system and Intermediate mesoderm
Kidney
In humans, the kidneys are two reddish-brown bean-shaped blood-filtering organs that are a multilobar, multipapillary form of mammalian kidneys, usually without signs of external lobulation.
See Genitourinary system and Kidney
Kidney development
Kidney development, or nephrogenesis, describes the embryologic origins of the kidney, a major organ in the urinary system.
See Genitourinary system and Kidney development
Labial fusion
Labial fusion is a medical condition of the vulva where the labia minora become fused together.
See Genitourinary system and Labial fusion
Mesonephric duct
The mesonephric duct, also known as the Wolffian duct, archinephric duct, Leydig's duct or nephric duct, is a paired organ that develops in the early stages of embryonic development in humans and other mammals.
See Genitourinary system and Mesonephric duct
Mesonephros
The mesonephros (middle kidney) is one of three excretory organs that develop in vertebrates.
See Genitourinary system and Mesonephros
Neoplasm
A neoplasm is a type of abnormal and excessive growth of tissue.
See Genitourinary system and Neoplasm
Nomina Anatomica
Nomina Anatomica (NA) was the international standard on human anatomic terminology from 1895 until it was replaced by Terminologia Anatomica in 1998.

Organ (biology)
In a multicellular organism, an organ is a collection of tissues joined in a structural unit to serve a common function.
See Genitourinary system and Organ (biology)
Paramesonephric duct
The paramesonephric ducts (or Müllerian ducts) are paired ducts of the embryo in the reproductive system of humans and other mammals that run down the lateral sides of the genital ridge and terminate at the sinus tubercle in the primitive urogenital sinus.
See Genitourinary system and Paramesonephric duct
Pathogen
In biology, a pathogen (πάθος, "suffering", "passion" and -γενής, "producer of"), in the oldest and broadest sense, is any organism or agent that can produce disease.
See Genitourinary system and Pathogen
Pathology
Pathology is the study of disease and injury.
See Genitourinary system and Pathology
Penis
A penis (penises or penes) is a male sex organ that is used to inseminate female or hermaphrodite animals during copulation.
See Genitourinary system and Penis
Placentalia
Placental mammals (infraclass Placentalia) are one of the three extant subdivisions of the class Mammalia, the other two being Monotremata and Marsupialia.
See Genitourinary system and Placentalia
Pronephros
Pronephros is the most basic of the three excretory organs that develop in vertebrates, corresponding to the first stage of kidney development.
See Genitourinary system and Pronephros
Renal pathology
Renal pathology is a subspecialty of anatomic pathology that deals with the diagnosis and characterization of medical diseases (non-tumor) of the kidneys.
See Genitourinary system and Renal pathology
Reproductive system
The reproductive system of an organism, also known as the genital system, is the biological system made up of all the anatomical organs involved in sexual reproduction.
See Genitourinary system and Reproductive system
Sex organ
A sex organ, also known as a reproductive organ, is a part of an organism that is involved in sexual reproduction.

Splanchnic
Splanchnic is usually used to describe organs in the abdominal cavity.
See Genitourinary system and Splanchnic
Surgical pathology
Surgical pathology is the most significant and time-consuming area of practice for most anatomical pathologists.

Terminologia Anatomica
Terminologia Anatomica (commonly abbreviated TA) is the international standard for human anatomical terminology.
See Genitourinary system and Terminologia Anatomica
Urethra
The urethra (urethras or urethrae) is the tube that connects the mammalian urinary bladder to the urinary meatus.
See Genitourinary system and Urethra
Urinary system
The human urinary system, also known as the urinary tract or renal system, consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra.
