Golden angle, the Glossary
In geometry, the golden angle is the smaller of the two angles created by sectioning the circumference of a circle according to the golden ratio; that is, into two arcs such that the ratio of the length of the smaller arc to the length of the larger arc is the same as the ratio of the length of the larger arc to the full circumference of the circle.[1]

Angle
In Euclidean geometry, an angle is the figure formed by two rays, called the sides of the angle, sharing a common endpoint, called the vertex of the angle.
Circle
A circle is a shape consisting of all points in a plane that are at a given distance from a given point, the centre.
Common sunflower
The common sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is a species of large annual forb of the daisy family Asteraceae.
See Golden angle and Common sunflower
Curve
In mathematics, a curve (also called a curved line in older texts) is an object similar to a line, but that does not have to be straight.
Degree (angle)
A degree (in full, a degree of arc, arc degree, or arcdegree), usually denoted by ° (the degree symbol), is a measurement of a plane angle in which one full rotation is 360 degrees. Golden angle and degree (angle) are Mathematical constants.
See Golden angle and Degree (angle)
Geometry
Geometry is a branch of mathematics concerned with properties of space such as the distance, shape, size, and relative position of figures.
Glossary of botanical terms
This glossary of botanical terms is a list of definitions of terms and concepts relevant to botany and plants in general.
See Golden angle and Glossary of botanical terms
Golden ratio
In mathematics, two quantities are in the golden ratio if their ratio is the same as the ratio of their sum to the larger of the two quantities. Golden angle and golden ratio are Mathematical constants.
See Golden angle and Golden ratio
MathWorld
MathWorld is an online mathematics reference work, created and largely written by Eric W. Weisstein.
See Golden angle and MathWorld
Parastichy
Parastichy, in phyllotaxy, is the spiral pattern of particular plant organs on some plants, such as areoles on cacti stems, florets in sunflower heads and scales in pine cones.
See Golden angle and Parastichy
Phyllotaxis
In botany, phyllotaxis or phyllotaxy is the arrangement of leaves on a plant stem.
See Golden angle and Phyllotaxis
Primordium
A primordium (primordia; synonym: anlage) in embryology, is an organ or tissue in its earliest recognizable stage of development.
See Golden angle and Primordium
Radian
The radian, denoted by the symbol rad, is the unit of angle in the International System of Units (SI) and is the standard unit of angular measure used in many areas of mathematics.
Straightedge and compass construction
In geometry, straightedge-and-compass construction – also known as ruler-and-compass construction, Euclidean construction, or classical construction – is the construction of lengths, angles, and other geometric figures using only an idealized ruler and a pair of compasses.
See Golden angle and Straightedge and compass construction
Subtended angle
In geometry, an angle is subtended by an arc, line segment or any other section of a curve when its two rays pass through the endpoints of that arc, line segment or curve section. Golden angle and subtended angle are angle.
See Golden angle and Subtended angle
Transcendental number
In mathematics, a transcendental number is a real or complex number that is not algebraic – that is, not the root of a non-zero polynomial with integer (or, equivalently, rational) coefficients.
