Cannabinoid
Cannabinoids are several structural classes of compounds found in the cannabis plant primarily and most animal organisms (although insects lack such receptors) or as synthetic compounds.
See John W. Huffman and Cannabinoid
Cannabinoid receptor
Cannabinoid receptors, located throughout the body, are part of the endocannabinoid system of vertebrates a class of cell membrane receptors in the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily.
See John W. Huffman and Cannabinoid receptor
Clemson University
Clemson University is a public land-grant research university near Clemson, South Carolina.
See John W. Huffman and Clemson University
Endocannabinoid system
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids, which are endogenous lipid-based retrograde neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors, and cannabinoid receptor proteins that are expressed throughout the vertebrate central nervous system (including the brain) and peripheral nervous system.
See John W. Huffman and Endocannabinoid system
Georgia Tech
The Georgia Institute of Technology (commonly referred to as Georgia Tech and GT or, in the state of Georgia, as Tech or the Institute) is a public research university and institute of technology in Atlanta, Georgia.

Harvard University
Harvard University is a private Ivy League research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

JWH-018
JWH-018 (1-pentyl-3-(1-naphthoyl)indole, NA-PIMO or AM-678) is an analgesic chemical from the naphthoylindole family that acts as a full agonist at both the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors, with some selectivity for CB2. John W. Huffman and JWH-018 are JWH cannabinoids.
See John W. Huffman and JWH-018
List of JWH cannabinoids
The John W. Huffman research group at Clemson University synthesized over 450 cannabinoids. John W. Huffman and List of JWH cannabinoids are JWH cannabinoids.

National Institute on Drug Abuse
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is a United States federal government research institute whose mission is to "advance science on the causes and consequences of drug use and addiction and to apply that knowledge to improve individual and public health." The institute has conducted an in-depth study of addiction according to its biological, behavioral and social components.

Organic chemistry
Organic chemistry is a subdiscipline within chemistry involving the scientific study of the structure, properties, and reactions of organic compounds and organic materials, i.e., matter in its various forms that contain carbon atoms.
See John W. Huffman and Organic chemistry
Robert Burns Woodward
Robert Burns Woodward (April 10, 1917 – July 8, 1979) was an American organic chemist. John W. Huffman and Robert Burns Woodward are American organic chemists.

Synthetic cannabinoids
Synthetic cannabinoids are a class of designer drug molecules that bind to the same receptors to which cannabinoids (THC, CBD and many others) in cannabis plants attach.
See John W. Huffman and Synthetic cannabinoids
Tetrahydrocannabinol
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a cannabinoid found in cannabis.
See John W. Huffman and Tetrahydrocannabinol
The Washington Post
The Washington Post, locally known as "the Post" and, informally, WaPo or WP, is an American daily newspaper published in Washington, D.C., the national capital.
