Arthropod
Arthropods are invertebrates in the phylum Arthropoda.
Balang Formation
The Balang formation, is a Cambrian Period geological formation, which outcrops in western Hunan and eastern Guizhou in southern China.
See Naraoia and Balang Formation
British Columbia
British Columbia (commonly abbreviated as BC) is the westernmost province of Canada.
See Naraoia and British Columbia
Burgess Shale
The Burgess Shale is a fossil-bearing deposit exposed in the Canadian Rockies of British Columbia, Canada.
Cambrian
The Cambrian is the first geological period of the Paleozoic Era, and the Phanerozoic Eon.
Cambrian Stage 3
Cambrian Stage 3 is the still unnamed third stage of the Cambrian.
See Naraoia and Cambrian Stage 3
Canada
Canada is a country in North America.
Cephalon (arthropod head)
The cephalon is the head section of an arthropod.
See Naraoia and Cephalon (arthropod head)
Class (biology)
In biological classification, class (classis) is a taxonomic rank, as well as a taxonomic unit, a taxon, in that rank.
See Naraoia and Class (biology)
Crustacean
Crustaceans are a group of arthropods that are a part of the subphylum Crustacea, a large, diverse group of mainly aquatic arthropods including decapods (shrimps, prawns, crabs, lobsters and crayfish), seed shrimp, branchiopods, fish lice, krill, remipedes, isopods, barnacles, copepods, opossum shrimps, amphipods and mantis shrimp.
Detritivore
Detritivores (also known as detrivores, detritophages, detritus feeders or detritus eaters) are heterotrophs that obtain nutrients by consuming detritus (decomposing plant and animal parts as well as feces).
Earthworm
An earthworm is a soil-dwelling terrestrial invertebrate that belongs to the phylum Annelida.
Genus
Genus (genera) is a taxonomic rank above species and below family as used in the biological classification of living and fossil organisms as well as viruses.
Guizhou
Guizhou is an inland province in Southwestern China.
Harry B. Whittington
Harry Blackmore Whittington FRS (24 March 1916 – 20 June 2010) was a British palaeontologist who made a major contribution to the study of fossils of the Burgess Shale and other Cambrian fauna.
See Naraoia and Harry B. Whittington
Misszhouia
Misszhouia is a genus of small to average sized (up to long) marine trilobite-like arthropods within the Naraoiidae family, that lived during the early Cambrian period. Naraoia and Misszhouia are Cambrian genus extinctions, Maotianshan shales fossils and Nektaspida.
Naraoiidae
Naraoiidae is a family, of extinct, soft-shelled trilobite-like arthropods, that belongs to the order Nektaspida. Naraoia and Naraoiidae are Nektaspida and Silurian extinctions.
Nutrition
Nutrition is the biochemical and physiological process by which an organism uses food to support its life.
Paleobiota of the Burgess Shale
This is a list of the biota of the Burgess Shale, a Cambrian lagerstätte located in Yoho National Park in Canada.

Pridoli Epoch
In the geologic timescale, the Přídolí Epoch is the uppermost subdivision of the Silurian Period, dated at between 423 ± 2.3 and 419.2 ± 3.2 mya (million years ago).
Silurian
The Silurian is a geologic period and system spanning 24.6 million years from the end of the Ordovician Period, at million years ago (Mya), to the beginning of the Devonian Period, Mya.
Taijiang County
Taijiang County is a county in eastern Guizhou province, China.
See Naraoia and Taijiang County
Trilobite
Trilobites (meaning "three lobes") are extinct marine arthropods that form the class Trilobita. Naraoia and Trilobite are Cambrian first appearances.
