American and British English spelling differences
Despite the various English dialects spoken from country to country and within different regions of the same country, there are only slight regional variations in English orthography, the two most notable variations being British and American spelling.

Apple
An apple is a round, edible fruit produced by an apple tree (''Malus spp.'', among them the domestic or orchard apple; Malus domestica).
Bat
Bats are flying mammals of the order Chiroptera.
Bee
Bees are winged insects closely related to wasps and ants, known for their roles in pollination and, in the case of the best-known bee species, the western honey bee, for producing honey.
Bird
Birds are a group of warm-blooded vertebrates constituting the class Aves, characterised by feathers, toothless beaked jaws, the laying of hard-shelled eggs, a high metabolic rate, a four-chambered heart, and a strong yet lightweight skeleton.
Cultivar
A cultivar is a kind of cultivated plant that people have selected for desired traits and which retains those traits when propagated.
Ecosystem
An ecosystem (or ecological system) is a system that environments and their organisms form through their interaction.
Flower
A flower, also known as a bloom or blossom, is the reproductive structure found in flowering plants (plants of the division Angiospermae). Pollenizer and flower are pollination.
Holly
Ilex or holly is a genus of over 570 species of flowering plants in the family Aquifoliaceae, and the only living genus in that family.
Kiwifruit
Kiwifruit (often shortened to kiwi outside New Zealand and Australia) or Chinese gooseberry, is the edible berry of several species of woody vines in the genus Actinidia.
List of pollen sources
The term pollen source is often used in the context of beekeeping and refers to flowering plants as a source of pollen for bees or other insects. Pollenizer and List of pollen sources are pollination.
See Pollenizer and List of pollen sources
Malus
Malus is a genus of about 32–57 species of small deciduous trees or shrubs in the family Rosaceae, including the domesticated orchard apple, crab apples and wild apples.
Moth
Moths are a group of insects that includes all members of the order Lepidoptera that are not butterflies.
Plant
Plants are the eukaryotes that form the kingdom Plantae; they are predominantly photosynthetic.
Plant nursery
A nursery is a place where plants are propagated and grown to a desired size.
See Pollenizer and Plant nursery
Plant reproductive morphology
Plant reproductive morphology is the study of the physical form and structure (the morphology) of those parts of plants directly or indirectly concerned with sexual reproduction.
See Pollenizer and Plant reproductive morphology
Pollen
Pollen is a powdery substance produced by most types of flowers of seed plants for the purpose of sexual reproduction. Pollenizer and Pollen are pollination.
Pollination
Pollination is the transfer of pollen from an anther of a plant to the stigma of a plant, later enabling fertilisation and the production of seeds.
See Pollenizer and Pollination
Pollination management
Pollination management is the horticultural practices that accomplish or enhance pollination of a crop, to improve yield or quality, by understanding of the particular crop's pollination needs, and by knowledgeable management of pollenizers, pollinators, and pollination conditions. Pollenizer and pollination management are pollination.
See Pollenizer and Pollination management
Pollinator
A pollinator is an animal that moves pollen from the male anther of a flower to the female stigma of a flower. Pollenizer and pollinator are pollination.
Self-incompatibility
Self-incompatibility (SI) is a general name for several genetic mechanisms that prevent self-fertilization in sexually reproducing organisms, and thus encourage outcrossing and allogamy. Pollenizer and self-incompatibility are pollination.
See Pollenizer and Self-incompatibility
