Basilar membrane
The basilar membrane is a stiff structural element within the cochlea of the inner ear which separates two liquid-filled tubes that run along the coil of the cochlea, the scala media and the scala tympani. Round window and basilar membrane are auditory system.
See Round window and Basilar membrane
Cochlea
The cochlea is the part of the inner ear involved in hearing. Round window and cochlea are auditory system and ear.
Cochlear implant
A cochlear implant (CI) is a surgically implanted neuroprosthesis that provides a person who has moderate-to-profound sensorineural hearing loss with sound perception. Round window and cochlear implant are auditory system.
See Round window and Cochlear implant
Computed tomography of the head
Computed tomography of the head uses a series of X-rays in a CT scan of the head taken from many different directions; the resulting data is transformed into a series of cross sections of the brain using a computer program.
See Round window and Computed tomography of the head
Decibel
The decibel (symbol: dB) is a relative unit of measurement equal to one tenth of a bel (B).
Fiber
Fiber or fibre (British English; from fibra) is a natural or artificial substance that is significantly longer than it is wide.
Hair cell
Hair cells are the sensory receptors of both the auditory system and the vestibular system in the ears of all vertebrates, and in the lateral line organ of fishes. Round window and Hair cell are auditory system.
See Round window and Hair cell
Inner ear
The inner ear (internal ear, auris interna) is the innermost part of the vertebrate ear. Round window and inner ear are auditory system and ear.
See Round window and Inner ear
Maceration (cooking)
Maceration is the process of preparing foods through the softening or breaking into pieces using a liquid.
See Round window and Maceration (cooking)
Middle ear
The middle ear is the portion of the ear medial to the eardrum, and distal to the oval window of the cochlea (of the inner ear). Round window and middle ear are auditory system and ear.
See Round window and Middle ear
Mucus
Mucus is a slippery aqueous secretion produced by, and covering, mucous membranes.
Otosclerosis
Otosclerosis is a condition of the middle ear where portions of the dense enchondral layer of the bony labyrinth remodel into one or more lesions of irregularly-laid spongy bone.
See Round window and Otosclerosis
Oval window
The oval window (or fenestra vestibuli or fenestra ovalis) is a connective tissue membrane-covered opening from the middle ear to the cochlea of the inner ear. Round window and oval window are auditory system and ear.
See Round window and Oval window
The promontory of the tympanic cavity, also known as the cochlear promontory is a rounded hollow prominence upon - and most prominent feature of - the medial wall of the tympanic cavity formed by the underlying first turn of the cochlea. Round window and promontory of tympanic cavity are ear.
See Round window and Promontory of tympanic cavity
Saddle point
In mathematics, a saddle point or minimax point is a point on the surface of the graph of a function where the slopes (derivatives) in orthogonal directions are all zero (a critical point), but which is not a local extremum of the function.
See Round window and Saddle point
Southwest Tennessee Community College is a public community college in Memphis, Tennessee.
See Round window and Southwest Tennessee Community College
Stapes
The stapes or stirrup is a bone in the middle ear of humans and other animals which is involved in the conduction of sound vibrations to the inner ear. Round window and stapes are auditory system and ear.
Tympanic cavity
The tympanic cavity is a small cavity surrounding the bones of the middle ear. Round window and tympanic cavity are ear.
See Round window and Tympanic cavity
University of Denver
The University of Denver (DU) is a private research university in Denver, Colorado.
See Round window and University of Denver
Verona
Verona (Verona or Veròna) is a city on the River Adige in Veneto, Italy, with 258,031 inhabitants.
Vestibule of the ear
The vestibule is the central part of the bony labyrinth in the inner ear, and is situated medial to the eardrum, behind the cochlea, and in front of the three semicircular canals. Round window and vestibule of the ear are ear.
See Round window and Vestibule of the ear
