Cerium

Cerium is a chemical element; it has symbol Ce and atomic number 58.

Hermann–Mauguin notation

In geometry, Hermann–Mauguin notation is used to represent the symmetry elements in point groups, plane groups and space groups.

Kinshasa

Kinshasa (Kinsásá), formerly named Léopoldville until June 30, 1966, is the capital and largest city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Rare-earth element

The rare-earth elements (REE), also called the rare-earth metals or rare earths or, in context, rare-earth oxides, and sometimes the lanthanides (although scandium and yttrium, which do not belong to this series, are usually included as rare earths), are a set of 17 nearly indistinguishable lustrous silvery-white soft heavy metals.

Rare-earth mineral

A rare-earth mineral contains one or more rare-earth elements as major metal constituents.

Tetragonal crystal system

In crystallography, the tetragonal crystal system is one of the 7 crystal systems.

Vanadate

In chemistry, a vanadate is an anionic coordination complex of vanadium.

Wakefieldite

Wakefieldite is an uncommon rare-earth element vanadate mineral. There are four main types described of wakefieldite- wakefieldite-(La), wakefieldite-(Ce), wakefieldite-(Nd), and wakefieldite-(Y), depending upon the dominant rare-earth metal ion present. Wakefieldite has a Mohs hardness ranging from 4 to 5. Wakefieldite-(Ce) and wakefieldite are tetragonal minerals and vanadate minerals.

Xenotime group

The xenotime group is a grouping of minerals containing anhydrous phosphates and vanadates. Wakefieldite-(Ce) and xenotime group are mineral stubs and vanadate minerals.

Zaire

Zaire, officially the Republic of Zaire, was the name of the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 1971 to 1997.
