Edith Claire Head (née Posenor, October 28, 1897 – October 24, 1981) was an American costume designer who won a record eight Academy Awards for Best Costume Design between 1949 and 1973, making her the most awarded woman in the Academy's history. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a landmark which consists of 2,783 five-pointed terrazzo-and-brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in the Los Angeles, California district of Hollywood.
