Larisa Anatolyevna Popugayeva (Лари́са Анато́льевна Попуга́ева; September 3, 1923 – September 19, 1977) was a Soviet geologist, candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences (1970), one of the discoverers of diamond deposits in the USSR. The Zarnitsa mine (Кимберлитовая алмазная трубка «Зарница» Kimberlitovaya Almaznaya Trubka "Зарница"; English: kimberlite diamond pipe "Lightning" (more exact translation: "heat lightning")) was the first kimberlite diamond pipe discovered in Russia.
