Template:Hidden sort key - Wikipedia

This template and {{Sort}} should be avoided. Table sort keys are best defined using the data-sort-value attribute, like so: | data-sort-value="Doe, John" | John Doe. Please see Help:Sortable tables § Specifying a sort key for a cell for details.

This template allows you to specify its parameter as the sort key for a cell in sortable tables.

Usage

{{Hidden sort key|sort term}}

Insert this template with the appropriate sort term before the cell data.
