The redirect (Warcraft) leads to Warcraft (series), where it says “"Warcraft" redirects here. For the first game in the series, see Warcraft: Orcs & Humans.” There are no disambiguation pages, and the redirect still leads to Warcraft (series). Therefore, the optimal solution in this case — renaming, Warcraft (series) → Warcraft, where extra brackets will be removed. --Russian Rocky (talk) 01:55, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may well be right that that would be optimal -- your argument makes some sense. However, this is a major page with lots of incoming links. I urge you to discuss the move on Talk:Warcraft (series) first, and make sure that it has consensus or at least no significant opposition. DES ^(talk) 02:27, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Naming conventions (WP:PRECISION) says: "Remember that concise titles are generally preferred." Definitions in brackets are used in the case of ambiguity, but there are no disambiguation pages, and no pages with the same title. I do not understand what you mean, talking about incoming links. It is a deletion for renaming, therefore "Warcraft (series)" will be a redirect to the article of series, instead of the redirect "Warcraft". DES, I would not want to make a discussion for such an obvious renaming, because it will take a lot of my time, along with all these checkings and replies on the discussion page. If you believe that the deletion request for renaming was not constructive, just revert my edit. I will not argue.--Russian Rocky (talk) 03:35, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it was unconstructive, and your citation of the naming conventions is quite correct. But I do think that renaming major pages without any discussion is generally a mistake, and I won't do the delete and move in such a case. I reverted your edit on Anatoly Wasserman. First, what you reverted was not vandalism. You may want to read WP:VANDALISM to learn what vandalism is. Second, the pieces you want to add indeed do have BLP issues. Please start discussion at the talk page of the article before adding them. @Guardian101: A very small part of someone's land doesn't count, is it your logic? I think you confuse the section "Occupied territory" with the section "Occupied state". There was even a note with a further explanation, but you didn't notice it and removed all of the content. Northern Sakhalin, occupied by Japan until 1925, belonged to the Soviet Union that's the reason why the Soviet Union is mentioned as an "Occupied state". No, it doesn't mean that the whole Soviet Union was occupied as you claim. As you can see in the list, even a small part (of Syria, for example) still counts.

You also removed the German occupation of Western Russia and the Finnish occupation of Eastern Karelia during World War II. Eventually, your edit summaries ("Russia won the eastern front" and "They lost that battle") don't explain why we shouldn't consider them as military occupations. Iraq, for instance, also lost the battle over Kuwait, but it's still in the list.--Russian Rocky (talk) 15:56, 11 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
