splash stick (plural splash sticks)

A paper coffee cup with a cardboard heat sleeve around it, and a splash stick in the lid.
  1. A device used to keep heat and liquid from escaping a lidded cup. Introduced by Starbucks in Canada in 2008.

    I keep my coffee hot with a splash stick.

    To prevent my tea from spilling, I used a splash stick.
