Canis latrans (American Jackal) is a species of mammals in the family Canidae. They are native to El Salvador, Belize, The Nearctic, Guatemala, United States, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Canada, and Nicaragua. They are nocturnal carnivores.
