🇦🇿 Azerbaijan: Eurovision 2025 Participation Confirmed With Call for Submissions - Eurovoix

İctimai TV has confirmed that Azerbaijan will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Switzerland.
Azerbaijan has confirmed its participation in the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. İctimai TV has today opened its song submissions window as the country searches for its next entry for Eurovision.
Applications are being accepted by September 15 at song@eurovision.az, applications must include the following:
- Song submissions must be in an MP3 192 kbps
- A short biography of the singer and photo, as well as information about the writers and composers of the song
- Songs cannot exceed 3 minutes in length
- Songs must not have been released commercially before September 1, 2024
İctimai states in the rules that it reserves the rights to make changes or additions to the song that is chosen to represent Azerbaijan. The broadcaster has not detailed how the song will be chosen, since 2015 Azerbaijan has internally selected its song for the competition.
Fahree and Ilkin Dovlatov represented Azerbaijan at the Eurovision 2024 with “Özünlə apar”. They finished 14th out of 15 entries in Semi-Final One scoring a total of 11 points. This was the second year in a row Azerbaijan failed to qualify for the final.

Azerbaijan debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, they were represented by Elnur & Samir with the song “Day After Day”, they finished 8th in the final. In 2011 Azerbaijan won the Eurovision Song Contest represented by Ell & Nikki and their song “Running Scared”. The song scored a total of 221 points, receiving only three sets of 12 points from Malta, Russia and Turkey. In 2018 Azerbaijan failed to qualify for the final for the first time, having previously had a 100% qualification record.
