Magnet Schools with innovative programs

Citywide magnet schools welcome students from all neighborhoods across Minneapolis based on their interest in each unique academic theme: arts, global studies and humanities, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math), dual language and Montessori.

In addition to a specialized focus, MPS citywide magnet schools provide innovative and immersive learning experiences that support career development and encourage community and family involvement.

MPS citywide magnet schools offer focused programming, accessible schools in central locations, and a broader mix of students from across Minneapolis. Students are selected to attend a citywide school based on a lottery and available space.
