Rescue (command)

For the staff of the same name, see Rescue (staff).

Rescue is a battle menu command that appears in some Fire Emblem games.

Overview[]

The Rescue command allows a playable unit to essentially pick up and carry another adjacent, allied unit who has a lower constitution than the user's aid. The rescued unit will occupy the same space as the rescuer and will not take damage if the rescuer is attacked, but they cannot perform any action in that state. Additionally, the rescuer will suffer decreased dexterity and speed for as long as they're carrying the rescued unit. The command is useful for keeping units in precarious situations safe, and mounted units can ferry slower units to positions the player desires.

In Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, mounted units cannot be rescued.
