About Us
Fraternities and sororities have been an integral part of the Michigan State University experience since 1872, fostering a tradition of leadership, scholarship, and lifelong connections. Today, our Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) community is home to 56 chapters across four governing councils: the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and Panhellenic Council (PC).
Each council and chapter brings unique experiences and opportunities, but all share a commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, community service, and building meaningful relationships. Beyond these values, Fraternity and Sorority Life at Michigan State significantly impacts student belonging, retention, and success. By creating supportive communities and empowering students to grow as leaders, our chapters contribute to a fulfilling Spartan experience and help members thrive both academically and personally.
Joining Fraternity and Sorority Life means becoming part of a network that not only enhances your time at Michigan State but also prepares you for a lifetime of achievement, connection, and purpose.
